Ciencia y vivencia
Nuestro parque, se ha transformado en un portal para la observación del mundo natural. Aquí podrás acceder también a las Aulas Vivas - Llancalil y Cañi, espacios privilegiados para la conservación, el estudio y aprendizaje. Ambos santuarios representan ecosistemas emblemáticos del bosque templado lluvioso de Chile, reconocidos por su alto valor en biodiversidad y funciones ecosistémicas. Ya son casi 20 años dedicados a la observación de la naturaleza, con el propósito de desarrollar las habilidades y sensibilidades de quienes eligen recorrer este camino. Contamos con el equipamiento necesario para realizar salidas a terreno, seminarios, pasantías, campamentos de verano, cursos cortos, talleres, investigaciones de campo, tesis, y proyectos de conservación y rewilding. Somos sede de la unidad de investigación de Fauna Australis, dirigido por Prof. Cristián Bonacic de la Pontificia Universidad de Chile desde 2006, en colaboración con otras universidades internacionales como la Universidad de Oxford (UK), Universidad de British Columbia (Canada), y Helmholz Universität (Alemania). I just feel that we've really got to experience all these things that we learn about in classes all these methods and everything that's kind of seemed a little bit up in the air a little bit difficult to access kind of a little bit um... i don't know academic and really put it into play and I just think that actually having the ability to be a researcher and feel like I'm creating work that contributes and means something has been such a liberating experience and I really value

i would really recommend it, because it creates the possibility to be in diverse landscapes with different cover types, there's regrowth forest, urban areas, native old growth forest. Ithink that a perspective that is much more integrated for rural field studies, for the study of ecology in contrasting places. so I really recommend it highly. the team here has a lot to offer in terms of the local perspective

Nuestro segundo día, fuimos al bosque a ver aves, logramos estudiar de cerca un fio fio, nunca había hecho eso, fue increíble! Luego seguimos estudiando la fauna del lugar, vimos unos nidos que se encontraban bien arriba en los árboles y nos detuvimos a escuchar todas las aves del sector, fue increíble. Cuando terminamos, Jerry nos estaba esperando con la mejor comida del mundo!! Conversamos bastante y estuvo todo épico
